WHY DOES GHEELICIOUS USE GHEE INSTEAD OF BUTTER?At Gheelicious, we're all about spreading joy and well-being. We chose grass-fed ghee as the foundation for our chocolate spreads because of its incredible flavor and health-boosting properties. By using ghee as our base, we've created a spread that's both decadent and wholesome. It's the best of both worlds!

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GHEE AND BUTTER?Ghee is a type of clarified butter that is made by heating butter, allowing the liquid portion and milk to separate. What's left is pure butterfat with a delightful nutty taste. Unlike butter, ghee has no milk solids, making it easier to digest for many people.
-
IS GHEE LACTOSE-FREE?Yes! The magic of the ghee-making process is that it eliminates virtually all lactose and casein, making it a deliciously creamy alternative for those with dairy sensitivities. Many people who can't tolerate butter find that they can enjoy ghee without digestive distress. Of course, everyone's body is unique, so always listen to yours.
-
WHAT ARE THE NUTRITIONAL BENEFITS OF GRASS-FED GHEE?Grass-fed ghee is a nutritional powerhouse, packed with vitamins A, D, E, and K2, as well as anti-inflammatory fatty acids like CLA and butyrate. These nutrients support everything from brain function to bone health to weight management. Grass-fed ghee also has a more complex, nuanced flavor profile than conventionally produced ghee, elevating every dish it graces.

HOW DOES AYURVEDA VIEW THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF GHEE?In Ayurveda, an ancient Indian system of holistic healing, ghee is revered as a sacred food with powerful health-promoting properties. According to Ayurvedic principles, ghee's rich, unctuous quality helps lubricate the body's tissues, supporting smooth digestion, effective absorption of nutrients, and regular elimination of waste. Ayurveda also recognizes ghee's ability to kindle "agni," the digestive fire that powers the body's metabolic processes. By enhancing agni, ghee helps the body assimilate nutrients and convert them into "ojas," the essence of vitality, immunity, and overall well-being. Gheelicious honors this ancient wisdom, harnessing the health-boosting potential of grass-fed ghee in every jar.

HOW IS GHEELICIOUS MADE IN ALIGNMENT WITH AYURVEDIC PRINCIPLES?In Ayurveda, ghee is traditionally made by first culturing cow's milk with beneficial bacteria, then churning it into butter and clarifying it to remove hard-to-digest components like lactose, casein, and whey proteins. This process enhances the digestibility and flavor of the ghee. At Gheelicious, we honor this ancient wisdom by starting with the finest cultured, grass-fed butter to create our nourishing spreads.

HOW SHOULD I ENJOY GHEELICIOUS?The possibilities are endless! Spread Gheelicious on toast, drizzle it over fruit or ice cream, or just grab a spoon and dive in - we won't judge. Our rich, velvety spreads elevate any dish from ordinary to extraordinary.
